India Delivers First High-Speed Ferry to Maldives Under Raajje Transport Link Project

India has assisted the Maldives in building its first high-speed ferry to launch transport link services between two atolls, marking the beginning of a fleet supply under an existing bilateral agreement. The ferry was introduced during the launch of Raajje Transport Link services in Faafu and Dhaalu Atolls.

India will provide a total of 12 high-speed ferries to strengthen inter-island connectivity and public transport infrastructure in the Maldives. The initiative reflects India’s commitment to supporting essential services and community-focused infrastructure projects in the island nation.
