Haryana launches ₹707 cr elevated road in NCR

In a bid to build world-class road network in the NCR region, the Haryana state government has recently launched the construction work on the Badshahpur elevated highway at an investment of ₹707 crore, Haryana PWD Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, said, adding that the 5-km-long highway stretch in the project will be completed in 18 months. The project in question is being constructed on a single-pillar system providing connectivity between Subhash Chowk on Sohna Road and Badshahpur village. It will be the second most expensive project for Gurgaon after the Dwarka expressway and that the state has already acquired around 80% of the land for work to start on the mega project. One part of the 9km-long project is the 5km-long elevated highway, which ends beyond the border of Badshapur village. The second part of the project is to widen NH-248A to 6 lanes from Subhash Chowk to Sohna, with underpasses and flyovers to bypass villages along the way, he added.
