The company will be spending more than ₹4,000 crore in acquiring heavy earth moving machinery and procuring its own wagons for coal transportation to consumers. This will help it improve production scale at large mines and boost per day production. Investment in wagons is expected to be around ₹700 crore, and ₹2,000 crore will go into land acquisition for expanding the existing mines or opening new ones. This year, the company has an investment budget of ₹10,000 crore.
