The Terex two stage and 3 stage option modular crushing and screening plants, designed to deliver up to 300 mtph consist of a primary crusher, secondary crushers, surge hopper, sizing screens, conveyors and integrated hoppers.
Speaking at the sidelines of a recent industry event of Terex MPS at its plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, Mr. Mark Crooks, Product Line Manager, Modular, Terex Mineral Processing Systems, said, "There are numerous advantages of modular solutions. The design enables quick setting up of the plant. Being semi-stationery, the plant can be moved with ease if required. The plant comes with guard rails, stairs, and extra wide walkways for ease of operations and maintenance access."
He elaborated, "The plants are predesigned based on the requirements of the contractors and quarry operators. Based on the design, the plants can be set up at a minimal time with simple tools and lifting equipment. This is particularly beneficial if site preparation time takes longer than expected."
Mr. Crooks mentioned, "Being equipped with 90% local components at Hosur, the modular plants available in India are cost competitive to own and operate. All the modular plants manufactured by Terex are made on single global standards."
He said, "To ensure better availability of the plants, Terex also have available financial support solutions to the plant buyers through our financial subsidiary, Terex Financial Services."
Terex modular, 200 mtph plants can be shipped in standard 20-40 feet open top containers.
