Jaideep Shekhar Vice President & Managing Director Terex India
What new crushing, screening, washing and manufactured-sand solutions has Terex introduced to meet the application requirements of the end-users?
Our range of new solutions across crushing, screening, washing and material processing, reflects the evolving requirements of the Indian market. For instance, our Finlay Elektro range, comprising the J-1170 Elektro jaw crusher and C-1540 Elektro cone crusher, represents a new generation of hybrid crushing machines. It gives improved efficiency and greater flexibility in how customers operate their equipment. The newly launched Terex MPS WC1300HD Cone Crusher combines the productivity and application versatility of the trusted TC1300 cone crusher with the mobility and transportability of a wheeled platform. With integrated screening, advanced plant controls and streamlined transportability, the WC1300HD is designed to help customers maximise uptime, simplify set-up, and produce high-quality aggregates across a wide range of applications.
We have also launched the Franna FR15 XSi Champion, a new 15-tonne pick-and-carry crane, which brings greater mobility and flexibility to lifting applications.

All these new products demonstrate our focus on developing solutions that deliver higher productivity, improved efficiency, greater mobility, and lower overall operating costs, while addressing diverse customer applications and operating conditions.
What measurable advantages do your solutions offer in terms of energy consumption, wear-part and component life, manpower, uptime, downtime, aftermarket support, saleable output and resale value?
Customers today are increasingly looking beyond the initial purchase price and evaluating equipment based on total cost of ownership, productivity, and cost per tonne. Our focus is therefore on developing equipment that combines productivity, efficiency, reliability, and ease of maintenance with strong lifecycle support. The Finlay Elektro range, for example, provides customers with the flexibility to use electric power where available, while retaining diesel capability for other operating conditions. This can help reduce fuel consumption and operating costs, depending on the application.
Besides energy efficiency, factors such as machine availability, component life, maintenance requirements, aftermarket support, and saleable output - all contribute significantly to the customer's overall operating economics.

The discussions we had with customers at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026 reinforced the importance of demonstrating value through actual operating performance rather than simply specifications. Performance and cost-per-tonne results are application-specific and depend on factors such as material, plant configuration, utilisation, and operating practices. Where relevant, we work with customers to evaluate these parameters based on their individual applications and operating conditions.
As a global Indian manufacturer, what progress has your company made in product engineering, manufacturing quality, testing, automation and application expertise?
India has become an increasingly important part of Terex's global engineering and manufacturing strategy. We have moved well beyond India being simply a manufacturing location. Today, our teams in India contribute to engineering, product development, manufacturing, and global technology programs. Our Hosur facility has developed strong capabilities across multiple Terex product lines, spanning crushing, screening, washing, recycling, and lifting equipment, supported by close collaboration with Terex teams across our global organisation. One of our key strengths is the ability to combine Terex's global standards and expertise with strong local application knowledge. This is particularly important in India, where operating conditions and customer requirements can vary significantly across regions and applications.
The development and manufacture of the Finlay Elektro range at Hosur is a good example of this capability. It demonstrates the growing role of India in developing and manufacturing solutions that address market requirements while meeting global Terex standards. Our continued investments in engineering, manufacturing, testing, automation, and people are helping us further strengthen India's role within Terex's global operations.
How do you ensure that locally sourced components and vendor-manufactured parts consistently meet your design specifications?
Localisation is an important part of our India strategy, but it must be supported by consistent quality, reliability, and technical capability. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that components meet defined Terex engineering and quality requirements. This includes supplier evaluation, clearly defined specifications, quality controls, and ongoing engagement with our vendor base.Supplier development is also an important part of our localisation journey. As we increase local sourcing, we are working with vendors to strengthen their manufacturing processes, technical capabilities, and quality systems. Our objective is to build a stronger and more capable Indian supply ecosystem that can support our growth while maintaining the quality and consistency expected from a global OEM.
As we continue to scale our operations, we will also continue to strengthen areas such as digitalisation, traceability, and supply-chain visibility.
Do you offer repair, rebuilding, or remanufacturing of crushers and major components to reduce customer cost and turnaround time, and what performance assurance or warranty is provided?
Lifecycle support is an important part of our customer proposition. Our relationship with a customer extends well beyond the initial sale of the machine.Depending on the equipment and component, repair, refurbishment, and rebuilding can provide customers with an alternative to complete replacement. This can help reduce capital expenditure and minimise equipment downtime where the machine or component is suitable for rebuilding.
The potential cost saving and turnaround time depend on the condition of the equipment, the component involved, and the scope of work required. Rather than applying a standard saving, we assess each requirement based on the individual application and condition of the equipment.
Our customers benefit from OEM knowledge, genuine parts, trained service expertise, and established processes, giving them confidence that the equipment is supported with the right technical expertise.
The applicable warranty or performance assurance is determined based on the specific rebuild scope and commercial terms. Ultimately, our objective is to help customers maximise equipment availability, productivity, and return on investment throughout the entire lifecycle of their machines.
