Rakesh Modi From MTANDT GROUP shares insights on Next-Gen, Sustainable & Competitive Construction Equipment
Global engineering excellence, powered by MTANDT’s nationwide service backbone, allows us to deliver world-class quality tailored to Indian project realities.
Rakesh Modi, Chairperson
In India’s fast evolving core sectors, where do you see the strongest demand for your company’s products and solutions?
India is in the middle of a historic transformation. Highways, metros, renewable energy corridors, industrial parks, smart cities — everywhere you look, the country is building with a sense of purpose. What stands out today is not just the scale of projects, but the intent: to build safer, faster, and better. The strongest demand for our solutions is coming from infrastructure construction, renewable energy, ports, oil & gas, and large-scale manufacturing. Customers are now choosing equipment that delivers reliability, safety, and long-term value, and MTANDT is delivering all of these. For us, every machine delivered and every jobsite supported is not just business — it is a responsibility.
How is MTANDT’s Access Division enhancing its MEWP and rental offerings to support India’s safety and productivity goals?
Our Access Division has evolved in step with India’s infrastructure ambition. Today, we offer one of the most diverse and advanced portfolios of access solutions in the country — designed to meet the demands of construction, industrial maintenance, refineries, ports, rail, and high-rise environments. The modern worksite today demands equipment that is efficient, environmentally responsible, and intelligently engineered. Our exclusive range of AC+ Electric Scissor Lifts have an oil-free electric drive system that eliminates dependency on hydraulic fluid to deliver a cleaner, quieter, and significantly maintenance-light experience. These lifts have become a benchmark in the industry — and a reflection of sustainable productivity.
We are also expanding into highly specialised domains with our Differential Boom Lift range, designed for precision-driven environments, where conventional machines cannot operate safely or efficiently. Whether it is the Tunnel Punching Robot Boom, which automates repetitive underground tasks, or the Static Boom Lift designed specifically for assembly-line height access, each of these innovations represents our philosophy of thinking ahead, engineering ahead, and serving with foresight.
But what truly defines us is reliability; we continue to strengthen our rental capabilities with trained operators, quick-response service teams, and preventive maintenance programs — ensuring that customers experience uninterrupted productivity and safe elevation throughout their project lifecycle. For us, safe access is a responsibility that we uphold with a deep sense of ‘dil se seva’.

How do global partnerships help MTANDT bring world-class engineering to India?
Our global partnerships are built on shared values of trust, ethics, safety, and engineering. These collaborations help us bring oil-free AC+ scissor lifts, advanced electric booms, rail/road equipment, tunnel-ready access systems, tower cranes, suspended underdeck access system, temporary road mats, and precision attachments into the Indian market. The combined strength of our global technology partners and MTANDT’s robust on-ground service infrastructure enables us to deliver globally benchmarked quality while fully aligning with Indian project realities. More importantly, these partnerships allow us to continuously learn, innovate, and raise industry standards. How is MTANDT expanding its rental business and service network?
Rental decisions today are driven by uptime, flexibility, and responsive service. We are expanding our fleet with a strong focus on electric and hybrid MEWPs, high-capacity booms, speciality lifts, and compact access units. Our service strategy now revolves around rapid-response technicians, regional service hubs, predictive maintenance, operator availability, and guaranteed uptime commitments.Contractors want reliability. Our team understands that every hour saved on-site brings a project closer to completion, and we support our customers through consistent performance.
What steps is MTANDT taking to make its operations and products sustainable?
Sustainability is no longer optional; it is a duty to the environment, to future generations, and to the industry. We are making this shift through a wider portfolio of electric and hybrid access equipment; AC+ low-maintenance scissor lifts; Mlit portable electric lighting towers; portable power systems as diesel-generator alternatives; and training programs that integrate sustainable operating practices.Zero-emission machines are now more capable than ever. Our mission is to help customers transition smoothly — with confidence, clarity, and the comfort that MTANDT will stand by them at every step.
How is MTANDT leveraging IoT and digital tools to improve customer experience?

Equipr, our IoT-backed asset management system, allows customers to monitor equipment health, utilisation, location, operator behaviour, and predictive maintenance alerts — all in real time. This ensures fewer breakdowns, reduced misuse, and a far more efficient deployment of machines across project sites.
In addition to telematics, we are developing an integrated digital service ecosystem that will allow our stakeholders to experience MTANDT in a seamless, connected way — very similar to how leading automotive brands offer post-sales convenience to their customers.
This platform will enable users to book preventive maintenance, raise a service request, track service progress, access digital checklists and service history, receive proactive reminders for inspections and certifications, and engage directly with our support teams.
How do you ensure safety, skill development, and after-sales support?
Safety is the heart of our business. Every machine we supply and every operator we train carries our responsibility. Through CESL, we provide certified MEWP operator training, work-at-height modules, GWO, ISO, IESC, and NSDC-approved courses, jobsite safety audits, and trained instructors across India. Our ecosystem was built deliberately to serve customers across the entire lifecycle by providing world-class equipment, rentals that ensure flexibility and uptime, building a skilled and certified workforce with CESL, ensuring asset visibility and predictive maintenance through Equipr, and our service teams that provide on-ground reliability. Together, they provide an end-to-end access solution for India’s infrastructure and industrial customers. This integration delivers consistency, reduces cost of ownership, and enhances safety at every stage of the project.
