Strengthening its construction equipment portfolio, Mahindra Construction Equipment has introduced the COMPAX Mini Compactor, a compact and versatile solution designed to address urban and infrastructure compaction requirements. Powered by a 2.0-litre, 3-cylinder liquid-cooled Mahindra BS V engine, the COMPAX delivers 25 hp and 125 Nm of torque, combining fuel efficiency with reliable performance.

The compactor features dual-frequency vibration modes (55/65 Hz) to enable adaptable soil compaction across varied site conditions. It is equipped with a robust 720 mm diameter drum and a durable single-piece oscillation shaft, ensuring long service life and consistent compaction performance.

In addition to the COMPAX Mini Compactor, Mahindra Construction Equipment also showcased its advanced CEV-V range of machines, aimed at redefining industry benchmarks with enhanced features, improved operator comfort, higher productivity, and superior performance.

Dr. Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Mahindra Truck, Bus and Construction Equipment and Executive Director & CEO – SML Mahindra Ltd, said, “Mahindra Commercial Vehicles and Construction Equipment are known for their cutting-edge technology, best-in-class fuel efficiency, robust build, and reliability, which help deliver substantially higher earnings and profitability for our customers.”

He added that the new COMPAX reflects Mahindra’s DNA of indigenous engineering, developed through a deep understanding of India-specific operating challenges and backed by the company’s strong in-house manufacturing capabilities. The COMPAX Mini Compactor will be positioned as a utility machine for applications such as side-shoulder compaction in road construction, as well as real estate and urban infrastructure projects. Commercial production of the machine is slated to commence during March–April 2026.

The compactor’s hydraulic system incorporates features such as dedicated pressure measurement for steering, vibration, and travel systems, along with spiral hose protection covers and leak-proof O-ring face-sealed joints. Its powertrain offers a higher dust-holding-capacity air cleaner, improved service accessibility to engine components, and a radiator fan guard for enhanced safety. Operator comfort and safety are addressed through a ROPS-certified canopy, ergonomic controls, and lockable storage compartments.

Gopalakrishna Rajendra, Head – Ethics Counsellor, informed that the company is also scaling up sales of its other product lines, including backhoe loaders, RoadMaster motor graders, and tipper trucks. “Backed by our BS V engines, we aim to deliver higher safety and performance while lowering operating costs. The Mahindra RoadMaster Motor Grader is designed to offer higher power at an affordable cost, accelerating road construction projects and making it the market leader in its category with over 18% market share. The Mahindra EarthMaster Backhoe Loader delivers enhanced torque and best-in-class fuel efficiency, improving operator productivity. Our 28- and 35-ton tipper trucks are available with both box and rock body options.”

Satyanarayan Sharma, Head – Sales, Customer Care, Channel Development and Rental Business, informed that Mahindra Construction Equipment currently operates through a nationwide network comprising 136 touchpoints, over 51 3S dealerships, 16 Saathi+ authorised service centres, 19 Saathi+ sales outlets, and more than 50 spare parts outlets, ensuring comprehensive customer support across India.”
