the road construction and mining sectors
LiuGong is steadily strengthening its presence as a total solutions provider in the road construction and mining sectors by developing advanced products that give high productivity along with fuel efficiency. For the road construction segment, LiuGong India has developed a new tandem roller and milling machine at its Indian facility in Pithampur. “Staying true to our objective of providing solutions for every need, we will continue to develop more advanced products that give end-users high productivity and help them save fuel,” says Nischal Mehrotra, Vice President, LiuGong India.

For the mining sector, the company has introduced an electric wheel loader - Liugong 856 HE Emax – which comes with a charging kit (a lithium iron phosphate battery with rated storage energy of 350kw). The loader has an operating weight of 19,971 kg and a rated load capacity of 5,800 kg. It has a standard bucket size of 3.5 cum, and standard breakout force of 162kn.

Informs Mehrotra, “Though the initial cost of the electric wheel loader is on the higher side, the operating costs will be significantly lower as compared to diesel-run machines. We are confident that it will prove to be both economical and high performing in quarrying applications.”

Other launches by LiuGong include the new 975, 75-ton large track excavator, the 105, 80-ton rigid dump truck, a 4215 motor grader, and a LD 220 dozer powered by a 208 hp Liugong Cummins engine.

“The key competitive deliverables of our mining solutions are fuel efficiency, reliability, and productivity. There is demand for products that can meet faster cycle time in mining and can handle the high throughput. Our high-capacity mining machines made in Liugong’s facility in China, are designed to handle very high volumes with synchronized performance during operations,” informs Mehrotra. “While strengthening our product portfolio, we are also increasing our product support and services with more touchpoints across India,” he adds.
