Liebherr places superior product offerings and services over pricing
Despite pricing being under pressure, Liebherr India will abstain from compromising on quality and safety of the product just to match the price offered by competitors. The company’s products will continue to be offered on the same price parity as that of any other European brand.
Liebherr’s product range includes cranes, loaders, piling rigs and tower cranes, which have come under intense pricing pressure recently, as competition heats up in the market. “We will retain our premium tag in view of the fact that our products are designed to deliver the highest level of productivity, operational safety, and availability. Our customers are benefiting in view of total lifecycle costs of the machines, including our robust piling rigs, which can function in the most difficult strata,” averred Dandavate, Managing Director, Liebherr India.
“We are in the Indian market for the long term as this market promises increasing demand for our cranes and piling rigs for use in the construction of bridges and metro rail projects. Our commitment can be gauged by our comprehensive services and support, our various maintenance contracts, the periodic visits of our service personnel to customer sites, and timely parts availability through our 9 warehouses across India. We also provide operator training. We opened a manufacturing facility in Pune in 2012 for making tower cranes and to ensure short lead times in their delivery. We continue to use our time-tested German technology and will now be manufacturing our latest 12 ton NB-B-12 70 flattop tower cranes from here,” added Dandavate.
