KYB Conmat: Premraj Keshyep, Managing Director
We are positive about the demand trend of construction equipment in FY 22, backed by the investment plans of the Central and State Governments, and the backlog of projects waiting to be executed.
KYB Conmat has a population of more than 7000 machines working in India and abroad.
KYB Conmat’s ‘Made in India’ range of products are developed with the support of its full-fledged R&D department. The rugged and long lasting products give total cost of ownership to customers, with proven high productivity; and they are meeting the expectations of the company’s Indian and International buyers.
Our Batching Plants, for instance, have the latest multi-linguistic SCADA software, which is highly operator-friendly. We have also made a full SOP of all fault findings and trained our customers to self-detect and rectify the faults. This extra support from us has been very handy for our customers during the lockdown as it helped them improve the uptime of their plants.
KYB Conmat’s plants can be connected remotely and any fault finding, repair, software updation etc can be done from a remote location. This reduces the need for travelling and physical presence as per the social distancing norms.
We offer customers online and offline service, refurbishment and rental of our equipment.
We have a pan India network of services and warehouses besides dealer service points, at selected locations. Our in-house 24x7 IVR service mechanism offers a combination of online and offline service monitoring and support to customers. Our service engineers’ movements are tracked till the last mile in a real time for more efficient customer services.
We undertake refurbishing of our machines at our manufacturing unit and are also offering this facility at select locations in India. We have devised an attractive Annual Maintenance Contract so that customers can operate their machines throughout the year. We are also offering rental options through our channel partners.
We believe that hard times are the best times for product improvements.
We will be launching some products soon, such as a new variant of our Self-Loading Mixer, which is now IoT-enabled as we believe that tech-enabled, high productivity machines will be in demand.
In fact, most CE companies will continue with their investment plans in production and R&D as a long-term perspective of the construction market, even though there may be temporary delays in some projects due to the current liquidity in the market.
We are positive about the demand trend of construction equipment in FY 22, backed by the investment plans of the Central and State Governments and also of the private core sector companies. The backlog of projects will also add to the speedy execution of projects, which will lead to higher demand and growth of the CE industry.
There has been a paradigm shift in our business operations from physical to digital marketing, virtual meetings and online training.
The KYB-Conmat team initiated an array of measures to minimize the impact and overcome adversities in our business and raise the morale of our employees during the lockdown.
Most of our internal and business meetings with clients, channel partners and financial partners have shifted to online platforms, and we also developed platforms for after-sales support, wherever possible.
We conducted in-house trainings for upskilling our employees and have undertaken technical developments to bring more efficiency into our systems and processes.
We initiated awareness programme for employees and their family members on the importance of social distancing and ensured that such protocols are followed in our factory and office premises. We are conducting temperature checks daily and doing weekly health screening, have done vaccination of our employees, brought oxygen concentrators, and have initiated health insurance.
