DYNAPAC India: Abhijit Som, MD, Fayat Road Equipment Division
We are going ahead with the introduction of our CEV IV compliant machine as planned. We will also continue to invest in new developments to meet both local and global demand.
The new world situation is pushing us towards digital innovations and we have many advanced solutions in the pipeline.
We have built a platform that can adapt new software-based tools to enhance the performance of the new generation products. It allows us to offer the tools as per the project demand.
Our products are designed to have longer service intervals. Further, telematics - the integrated machine control system - allows us to undertake preventive maintenance as well as trouble shoot. It also enables customers to optimize their machine productivity. In fact, all our critical machines are designed with a diagnostic system with telematics to provide information on service needs as well as online information for fault analysis.
Our preventive service model enables jobsites to arrange material, avoid transportation delays, and complete projects on time due to reduced downtime of the machines.
We are offering our customers options of machine buyback, rental, and refurbishment.
Our focus is on providing solutions, which include machine buyback, rental, and refurbishment, to help customers complete their projects successfully. In view of the good lifetime of our products, our buyback offer allows customers to invest in new technologies like the CEV IV emission norm, which will be needed for equipment now.
We undertake refurbishment of machines at our plant. The old machines that are factory refurbished can be used very well in smaller projects. We also provide contractors with machines on rent for short-time projects with a buyout option after completion of the project. This has helped customers in understanding the machine’s usage and performance before buying.
The pandemic has tested companies on finding new ways to work and conduct business.
Since our company is well connected digitally, we have kept all our employees engaged gainfully via MS teams. We have encouraged ‘work from home’ for office staff and ensured safe SOPs for our field and factory workers.
Our supply chain team has been working 24x7 to deal with supply issues, industrial oxygen shortage, the global crisis of semi-conductors, etc., by coordinating with suppliers as well as production centers around the world.
Pandemic induced lockdowns create limitations ultimately slowing down economic activity and growth. However, with the situation easing, we expect the demand for construction equipment to continue as there are large projects in the pipeline.
