Columbia pioneered the first semi-automatic, hydraulically operated block machine over 80 years ago with the unique Columbia Vibration Technology (CVT). We have made several design changes on our flagship product SPM20, to make it more price effective and suited to the changing demands of the market. We launched a new and fully automatic Concrete Block Machine SPM30 in 2017, which has a unique Rack Loader / Unloader. Our model UL30, made in India with technology from Columbia Machine, USA, provides complete automatic loading and unloading of production pallets into the racks. Further, cured products are automatically cubed on wooden pallets using the Plate Style Cuber PSC 200 (again made in India with technology by Columbia Machine). This increased pallet and product handling efficiency improves productivity and reduces product handling damages drastically.

Now we can make products as short as 25mm and as tall as 175mm. Another enhancement is the special mold design with core puller arrangement. This is a special attachment / accessory for SPM 20 block machine, similar to front feed drawer; it works with specially designed molds to produce specialty products like fly ash bricks with hole, interlocking solid blocks, and special retaining wall blocks.

We see a buoyant sentiment in the market and would certainly be ending the year with a very positive outlook.

This fiscal year has seen excellent growth in the volume of our core business i.e. concrete block making machines, compared to the same period in 2017. We, at Columbia, have a clear mandate to meet both current and latent needs of customers under our ‘customer satisfaction’ strategy, and with this in view, we shall be able to do more in the most effective manner.
