Caterpillar Unveils Next-Gen Excavators; Reinforces Customer Value with Next-Day Parts and Two-Day Repairs

In addition to unveiling new products, Caterpillar highlighted its integrated ecosystem of solutions, ranging from digital fleet management and advanced diagnostics to flexible financing and equipment rebuilds—all tailored to support India’s fast-growing infrastructure demand.
The company also announced an enhanced Cat® Customer Value Agreement (CVA) with an upgraded Service Commitment for customers, effective from 2026. This includes a Two-Day Repair commitment for common repairs, failing which the customer will be compensated.
Said Nicole Li, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, “Caterpillar, in collaboration with its longstanding Cat dealers, has been a trusted partner in building critical infrastructure—roads, highways, ports, and energy systems. We remain committed to supporting this progress through advanced, customer-centric product solutions.”
“Our upgraded Services Commitment simplifies equipment ownership, while the Parts Next-Day commitment helps get equipment back up and running faster. Customized to meet specific customer needs, equipment coverage, portability, and transferability options are available under the Cat CVA,” said Ebban Clause, Vice President – Sales and Marketing.
Caterpillar’s broad lineup of machines is equipped with smart technologies such as Product Link™, VisionLink™, Cat Grade with Assist, and Customer Value Agreements, all designed to improve jobsite efficiency, reduce total cost of ownership, and enhance safety standards. “These digital-enabled services help customers make data-driven decisions, simplify maintenance, and maximize equipment lifecycle value,” informed Nicole Li.
Speaking about the new product exhibits, Gurman Reen, Director – Sales, India, said, “We remain fully committed to the Indian market through our range of both premium and economical products. Our three new excavators in the 20-ton category will find applications in river-linking works, irrigation projects, and traditional quarrying operations. The Cat 324, with a 1.4 cum general-purpose bucket, is aimed at infrastructure projects, while the Cat 321 and 322 will be positioned for quarry customers. Both new excavators offer at least 10% higher fuel efficiency and lower operating costs.”

Referring to the upgraded HM 2021 wheel loader fitted with a BS V Ashok Leyland engine, Reen added, “The 3-ton wheel loader continues to enjoy strong brand recall. It has been upgraded with a more modern cabin and a more robust chassis, among other enhancements. The product is positioned alongside our tried-and-tested Cat 950 GC 5-ton wheel loader, while the heavier Cat 980, with an 8-ton capacity, is being offered as a premium solution for heavy-duty applications in steel plants, limestone handling, slag handling, and similar operations.”
“The Chinese SEM 656D, 5-ton wheel loader on display, along with machines in the 2-, 4-, and 5-ton payload classes, is well suited for quarry operations due to faster duty cycles for aggregate stacking and loading. These machines are available with general-duty and heavy-duty bucket options and are ideal for 350-tph crushing plants handling multiple aggregate streams,” he said.
“The SEM 915 and 917 motor graders are largely being offered to subcontractors, while the flagship Cat GC 120 is targeted at major corporate road contractors,” Reen added.
He further informed, “The Cat financing guarantee, offering 0% interest and backed by a Customer Value Agreement, provides customers with strong financial support when purchasing Caterpillar machines. We continue to place our trust in our dealer partners, GMMCO Limited and Gainwell Commosales, who are making significant investments through ready availability of parts and comprehensive maintenance support.”
By combining product innovation with service excellence and sustainability-driven approaches, Caterpillar continues to empower Indian customers with the tools required to build a more connected and resilient future.
