The various major initiatives taken by the government in the field of Infrastructure development will show results in the next few quarters. 2017 has been a challenging year for PMP, but overall, it was a good year in general, and there is prospective growth potential for us in the near future. Providing solutions for greater customer efficiency has always been central to PMP’s business strategy. Besides producing and selling gearboxes for several applications, PMP is also specialized in supplying complete solutions that meet customer needs in the Construction Equipment and the Marine Industry markets.

PMP is the first in the world to produce 10,000 rpm electric gearboxes

As regards hydraulics, PMP designs and manufactures 100% tested products that are capable of working upto 500 bar pressures. The specific design and materials used for the development of this advanced technology, guarantee greater volumetric and total efficiency, compared to our competitors, in any working condition.

PMP has also intensified its investments in electric traction, the result being that PMP is the first in the world to produce and use on its own 10,000 rpm electric gearboxes. Thanks to the high-speed motor with less copper content, the motor size is reduced and this together with the integration between motor and gearbox, makes the PMS621 a very compact and innovative solution.

Now, PMP can offer its electric motors that are designed and fully manufactured by PMP according to customer performance request in the range of 1-3 t forklift or 5-25 t towing tractors application.

PMP holds 6 international patents for innovative technologies and smart technical solutions

The concepts that are driving our engineers in the design of all PMS drives are: mechanical and thermal efficiency, quietness and simplicity. Moreover, in these years, PMP has developed six international patents for innovative technologies and smart technical solutions. Today, all PMS Drive Systems feature integrated wet disk brakes with superior braking performance, longer oil change intervals and higher efficiencies, thanks to the special disk spacing system. 100% final testing of the drives also guarantees full reliability and traceability. PMP’s R&D activity is now focusing on further integration of motor controllers to take a further step towards full system suppliers.

In the last few years, PMP has invested around 8 percent in its R&D center, located in the company’s headquarters in Italy. We have doubled the space and increased the equipment needed at the center. PMP’s aim is to enhance product performance, and thereby, customer satisfaction, along with providing them cost efficiency.
