ELGi’s silent version of portable compressors are now available worldwide

ELGi compressors come with energy saving eta-V profile air-ends that result in significant savings in energy costs. The diesel powered ELGi compressors are powered by international warranty engines that are engineered for better fuel economy and low emissions in its class. With these engines, ELGi compressors provide customers with durable performance at low cost of ownership. Operating with the best service network across India, customers enjoy the benefits of having maximum availability of the compressors and low operating cost.

Compressor packages are constantly upgraded for noise and vibration reduction through sound intensity mapping, aided by an indigenously designed traversing robot. A MATLAB-based tool for torsional vibration analysis is developed and in place for drive train optimization. In order to evaluate product designs at the conceptual phase, a model based on diffuse field is in use. By applying these techniques, ELGi has built its silent version of portable compressors, which are now made available worldwide.

We are expanding our dealer network throughout the country

To be in line with our CK2 aspirations and keep up our uptime promise, we have created a dedicated service vertical that will cater to the Construction and Mining segment in India. Considering our future goal to maximise availability of compressors and to enhance our reach, we are expanding our dealer network throughout the country. Product launches, acquisitions and expansion are the prime movers that would support us in reaching out to new markets.

We have started to implement diesel engines that are compliant to new emission norms

In India, the emission norms for air compressors segment is expected to roll out by 2020-21. At ELGi, we have started to implement diesel engines that are compliant to emission norms.

Growing consumer awareness, positive outlook on regulatory policies and the government’s intent and announcements on investments in infrastructure such as roads, are expected to drive demand in the coming years. The need for superior air quality and reliability are also expected to stimulate growth.

Due to the Goods and Services Tax, there was a slowdown in domestic demand due to uncertainties during the initial introduction period. But the situation has improved progressively. The technical issues in the GST portal continue to be challenging for working capital management and this is expected to stabilize in this quarter.

New at Excon 2017

We are a regular participant at Excon. This year, we will be present at outdoor stall number 86 in the Green Lot, displaying our trolley-mounted diesel and electric-powered screw air compressors. PG 550 – 200 will be the new trolley mounted diesel-powered compressor that will be kept on display during this expo. This better productive model comes with a pre-filter that makes the compressor more efficient and enhances its life.
