Zyfra takes up ₹150-cr coach modernization contract
In a bid to modernize Indian metro coaches to match global standards, the Finnish-Russian digital solutions provider Zyfra has agreed to offer technology and expertise to the Modern Coach Factory (MCF) in executing the ₹150 crore contract. Earlier this year, MCF Rae Bareilly has floated a tender to buy technology for the design, development, manufacturing, testing and maintenance of the aluminum body passenger coaches for metro trains by 2021. Zyfra, in a media statement, said that the AI and IoT solutions firm has earned more than $26 million from Indian contracts and plans to double it to $45 million by the end of 2019. Zyfra has got $3 million in contracts with its Indian counterparts in 2018, facilitating industrial manufacturers with AI and IoT-based solutions as well as autonomous vehicles. The company plans to enhance its presence in the Indian market and reach a target of $50 million by 2021. It has launched 17 pilot projects in India with its major partners like Spudweb, Parivartan Automation, Abcon Group, Wimera Systems and OJB Engineering from the defence, aerospace, petrochemicals, metallurgy and mining industries.
