The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority's (Mhada) in a recent move has decided to fast-track the much awaited twin-tower project at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) with the approval of the Bharat Nagar Transit Camp Redevelopment project. The luxurious housing project is planned for the rehabilitation of residents from economically weaker sections residing at transit camps for years at different locations, and it will also have residential units of 1,400 sqft for the higher-income group. Income earned from selling these flats will be used to build homes for the low-income group. The towers will offer residents a view of the Mahim sea-face and sea link at one end and the wetlands on the other.
