Va Tech Wabag Secures ₹700 Cr Wastewater Treatment Project in Zambia

Indian multinational water technology group

Indian multinational water technology group Va Tech Wabag has won a ₹700 crore order from the Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company (LWSC). The project is funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Germany's Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW).

Under the Design-Build-Operate (DBO) contract, Wabag will handle the engineering, procurement, and construction of two advanced wastewater treatment plants in Zambia. These include a 54 MLD plant in Ngwerere and a 19 MLD facility in Chunga.
