China Unveils World's Fastest High-Speed Train Prototype

China has introduced the CR450 prototype, a next-generation bullet train that reached speeds of 450 kmph during test runs, making it the fastest high-speed train globally.

Developed by China State Railway Group, the CR450 promises to enhance travel efficiency and connectivity across the country. Key performance advancements include operational speed, reduced energy consumption, quieter interiors, and shorter braking distances—setting new global benchmarks.

The CR450 surpasses the current CR400 Fuxing trains, which operate at 350 kmph, and is expected to significantly reduce travel time for passengers.
