In order to expand its real estate business in the international arena, Sobha Group has decided to expand its real estate operations in UK and America, and other countries. The developer, which currently has bases in India and Duba, has diversified interests and investments in the UAE, India, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Brunei and Tanzania. It has recently opened sales offices in London and Shanghai. Group President, Jyotsna Hegde, said that in the Arabian region its focus is on strengthening the company’s network in the UAE, while its 5-year old Dubai business will reach maturity in the next three years. The developer of the 8 million sqft $4bn Sobha Hartland project in Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City (MBR), had announced a record AED500 million ($136 million) sales bookings in the first quarter of 2019 amounting to about 33 percent over and above the laid down targets.
