RVNL Wins Rs 165 Cr Contract to Build Major Gandak River Bridge in Uttar Pradesh

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a Rs 165.04 crore contract from North Eastern Railway for constructing a key bridge over the Gandak river in Uttar Pradesh under a railway doubling project. The Letter of Award covers the construction of the substructure of Bridge No. 50 between Paniyahwa and Valmikinagar stations on the Gorakhpur Cantt–Valmikinagar section. The project is expected to be completed in 24 months.

The upcoming bridge will feature 14 spans of 61 metres each and will be built on Double D-type well foundations. It will be designed to support double-line train operations as per RDSO’s 25-tonne axle load standards, enhancing capacity and efficiency on this important route.
