Pune gets ₹1,500 cr towards 1,900 ha land acquisition for RR project

The State Finance Minister Ajit Pawar has allotted ₹1,500 crores for acquiring 1,900 hectares of land for the proposed ring road project in Pune. The eight lane expressway will be 173.7km long with a designed vehicle speed of 120km/hour. The total cost of the project is expected to be ₹26,000 crores and MSRDC is appointed to execute the work.

The project will help in segregating the city and the highway traffic, along with reducing vehicular pollution.
