Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari reviewed proposed high-speed and high-density national highway corridors in Maharashtra, focusing on faster execution and improved connectivity.

At the meeting in New Delhi, Gadkari discussed key projects including six-laning of the Nagpur–Bhandara and Pune–Satara sections, four-laning of the Taloda–Burhanpur stretch, and major corridors such as Durg–Gadchiroli–Mancherial, Gadchiroli–Kanker (Raipur–Vizag), Gwalior–Nagpur and Nagpur–Hyderabad. Other projects reviewed included six-laning of the Bhandara–Raipur and Nagpur–Amravati sections, the Lakhnadon–Durg–Raipur corridor, and the NH-44 stretch from the Madhya Pradesh–Maharashtra border to Borkhedi via Nagpur bypass.

The review also covered nine state BOT projects spanning 527 km on National Highways in Maharashtra, including corridors such as Shirur–Ahilyanagar, Ahilyanagar–Wadala, Wadala–Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna–Watur, Nanded–Deglur, and Warora–Chandrapur–Bamni.

The discussions focused on accelerating project planning and execution to enhance road infrastructure, improve regional connectivity and support economic growth.
