
These stretches are part of the four-lane project from Bilasipara to Guwahati on NH-17, and the NHIDCL has divided the entire stretch from Dhupdhara Sahar to VIP Chowk into two projects. The first project involves widening and improving the 33.68-km stretch to four-lane with paved shoulders from Dhupdhara Sahar to Milmila Reserve Forest (before Chhaygaon Market) on EPC model under the Bharatmala Pariyojana in economic corridors. The award cost of this project is Rs 458.47 crore. The second project aims to widen and improve the 27.32-km stretch to four-lane with paved shoulders from Milmila Reserve Forest to the approach of Airport Junction (VIP Chowk) on EPC model, also under Bharatmala Pariyojana in economic corridors. The award cost of this project is Rs 539.93 crore.
The NHIDCL has awarded the works of these two projects to Anil Das-Sailaja Commercial Construction Pvt. Ltd. (JV). These projects will improve road connectivity in the region and contribute to the economic growth of the area.
