Odisha clears Rs 6,284-cr 6-lane Cuttack ring road
The Odisha state cabinet has approved a 6-lane Cuttack ring road project worth Rs 6,284 crore, which will stretch from Khannagar to Link Road under the State Sector-Road Development Program. The project is aimed at improving connectivity and reducing traffic congestion in the area. In addition, the Odisha government has also decided to implement the revamped Distribution Sector Scheme to improve the quality and reliability of power supply, as well as reduce AT & C loss and ACS-ARR gap. The total outlay for the scheme includes a state government share of Rs 2,342 crore, with Rs 428 crore allocated for smart metering, Rs 4,248 crore for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, and Rs 1,509 crore for system strengthening. The projects are set to be executed within the next three years.
