NHAI expedites work on 600-km long highway in Kerala

NHAI
NHAI has fast-tracked the 600-km long six-laning work of National Highway-66 as NHAI has already confirmed the agreement in 16 out of 20 reaches along the national highway. Starting from Talapady in Kasaragod district to Karode in Thiruvananthapuram would be six-laned as part of the project. NHAI has hastened the six-laning work of Panavel- Kanyakumari National Highway-66.

The state government would bear 25 per cent of the land acquisition cost for which the landowners are given the best compensation as per the Land Acquisition Act 2013. With the commissioning of the project, the road traffic in Kerala would become a safer and smoother affair.
