
Ashoka Buildcon is building the 49 km long package-3 of Bundelkhand Expressway with ₹1,079 crore, and it goes through Kaouhri, Mahoba district to Brolikharka, Hamirpur district.
With this laying of 19756 tonnes, Ashoka Buildcon Limited has bettered its earlier record of 12765 tonnes in April 2021.
The 296 Km long Bundelkhand Expressway begins at village Kudrail in district Etawah on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and ends near Bharatkoop in Chitrakoot district. It will accelerate development in the Bundelkhand area, especially in less developed districts like Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur, and Jalaun. Project is being executed on fast track mode and currently 75% of the project is completed with the completion of 96% Earthwork and 135 Structures are completed out of 142 Nos in their package.
It will have four lanes (expandable up to six lanes) with six lanes wider structures. A service road of 3.75-metre width will be constructed at one side of the expressway in a staggered form so that residents of nearby villages of the project area may get a smooth transportation facility.
The construction cost is estimated to be more than ₹7,700 crore. The project has been divided into six packages. Contracts have been constituted with developers like Apco Infratech, Ashoka Buildcon, Gavar Construction and Dilip Buildcon.
