The Union minister for road transport & highways recently laid the foundation for around 36 projects worth 9,000 crore including the long pending projects like rehabilitation and upgradation of Nagarjuna Sagar Dam - Devulapally section of NH 565 to 2-lane with paved shoulders involving ₹385.97 crore investment. Apart from this, he also launched the construction work of the 4-lane ROB on Gudivada - Bhimavaram section of NH 165 at Gudivada- Pamarru Road and other key road infra projects, the ministry said in an official statement. The construction of these road projects will improve connectivity and will also improve the socio economic activities in the region. The Union minister, who was accompanied by the state CM, also inaugurated a large number of completed road infra projects worth about ₹1100 crore including the second flyover at Benz Circle in the city. The CM claimed that the state government has widened around 950-km-long roads in the last three years and helped reduce traffic problems in these areas.
