MoRTH launches ₹5,722-cr highway projects in MP

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has laid the foundation stones for 11 National Highways projects with a length of 534 km and ₹5,722 crore investment in Madhya Pradesh. These projects will also provide easy transport facility to pilgrims and tourists, besides providing better connectivity to the existing agricultural markets adjoining Ujjain. The Ujjain-Dewas Industrial Corridor will be developed and new opportunities for employment generation will be created in the region. The entire Malwa-Nimar region will be developed and the border areas will also be built as storage centres. This will save time and fuel, besides making travel safer. The government is taking continuous steps to build next-generation infrastructure with a commitment to ensure smooth connectivity, faster development, better security and prosperity for all.
