MoRTH floats tender for Rs 456-cr bypass road in J&K
The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has issued a tender for the construction of a two-lane Baramulla greenfield bypass road on the Srinagar–Baramulla–Uri (SBU) section (NH-01) in Jammu and Kashmir. This project falls under Project Beacon of the Border Roads Organization (BRO).
The two-laning work, with an estimated investment of Rs 456.55 crore, aims to create a paved shoulder on the Baramulla bypass, spanning a length of 14.100 km in the AOR (Area of Responsibility) of 760 BRTF (Border Roads Task Force) on SBU. The project will be executed on the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model, with a stipulated completion period of 24 months. Following completion, there will be a maintenance period of 5 years. Last date of bid submission is 5th July 2023.
