The Ministry for Road Transport and Highways has released ₹928.41 crore for the expansion of road to 60 meters for about 46.40 km starting from Appa junction on the outskirts of Manneguda in Vikarabad district in Telangana. The central government has cleared allocation of funds for the project. The road-building agency will carry out the targeted expansion on fast-track basis as the expansion of the highway was a long-standing demand of the people of Rangareddy and Vikarabad districts. With the road expansion, travel to Vikarabad, Tandur, Parigi and Kodangal areas will also become easy and smooth.
