GMDA launches work on Rampura-Pataudi road

GMDA
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has started the construction work on revamping the arterial Rampura-Pataudi road, which connects the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway with Pataudi road. This crucial link is used by a majority of new sector residents and has been lying in shambles for several years. The entire stretch will be upgraded and service roads, drainage, green belts, cycle tracks and footpaths will also be built at an investment of ₹67 crore. This road was never designed for heavy vehicular movement and now the agency will be rebuilding the main six-lane carriageway so that it can withstand heavy traffic movement from Pataudi, Manesar, Jaipur and Delhi.

GMDA executive engineer (infrastructure-1), Amit Godara, informed that the construction will be carried out in a phased manner just to avoid traffic congestion but the agency hopes to complete it in 12 months.
