Nagaur-Bikaner-Highway
The Central Government has approved a Rs 1,359 crore project for the four-laning of the Nagaur-Bikaner section of National Highway-62 in Rajasthan, aimed at improving regional connectivity and supporting economic growth in western Rajasthan.

The project will be developed under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model and is expected to enhance road infrastructure between Nagaur and Bikaner, providing faster, safer and more efficient transportation for passengers and freight movement.

The upgraded four-lane highway is expected to strengthen connectivity across western Rajasthan, facilitate smoother logistics operations and create new opportunities for industrial development, trade and tourism in the region.

According to the state government, the project is also expected to generate employment during both the construction and operational phases while improving access to key economic and commercial centres.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said the project reflects the government's continued focus on expanding modern road infrastructure and enhancing regional development. He noted that the highway expansion will provide a major boost to economic activities in Nagaur, Bikaner and surrounding districts.

The NH-62 four-laning project is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Rajasthan’s highway network and improve connectivity across the state.
