Ayodhya gets ₹428-cr bypass road project

The UP Cabinet has approved a proposal for Gosaiganj Bazar bypass on the Ayodhya-Akbarpur-Baskhari Road with a length of 5.5 km. A four-lane Maya Bazaar bypass and Ambedkarnagar Bazaar bypass also get clearance with a combined investment of ₹428 crore. The Ayodhya-Akbarpur-Baskhari road is being expanded into a four-lane stretch. Once the expansion gets over, heavy traffic headed for Azamgarh, Mau, Varanasi, and Ballia will be diverted to the new bypass roads. The cabinet approved a proposal for widening and strengthening of two-lane width paved shoulder of Ayodhya-Billharghat road, which will be an important connection between pilgrimage sites and will connect under construction theme park, international bus station, and new five-star hotels at the pilgrimage city.
