NMC fixes 12,835 hect for realty projects

Nashik Residential Zone
In order to ensure housing for all within its municipal limits, the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has earmarked 12,835 hectares land parcel for setting up new residential zone. Provision in this connection has also been proposed in the draft DP to accommodate the rising population of the mega city. Apart from this, the basic floor space index (FSI) has been increased from 1 FSI to 1.20 FSI. There are five districts under the jurisdiction of the Nashik division and the regional plans of Nashik, Ahmednagar, and Jalgaon districts have been approved by the state government. Earlier, there were no plans for Dhule and Nandurbar districts, but the government has now started the process to chalk out plans for these two districts. The existing land use map of Dhule district has been prepared and it has also received approval from the collector. The regional plan for Dhule and Nandurbar districts will be completed in a year. These apart, the decision to change the zone of rural areas from residential to commercial or industrial purposes had been taken and the government introduced the zone changing policy for the entire state under the regional plan.
