MP hastens Rs.14,485-c twin metro lines

In an attempt to speed up the construction work on the twin metro projects in Indore and Bhopal, the state government in Madhya Pradesh is looking for avenues to raise Rs.14,485.55 crore to implement the projects in these cities, said an official spokesperson, elaborating that the state has drawn up a mega plan to run metros, state Urban Development and Housing Minister, Maya Singh said. He further added that once the financial commitment is secured, the project will be kick-started. In may be recalled that in December last year, the government approved the detailed project report (DPR) which envisages investment targets to put in place the rapid transport system in these two cities.
