The Union Transport Minister is all set to launch four and six-laning of National Highway -17 and NH-4A at an investment of Rs. 10,000cr, said ministry sources claiming that the highway would also be connected to the site at Mopa in North Goa where Greenfield Airport is coming up. The travel time between one end of Goa to the site is currently two-and-half hours, will be curtailed to one-and-half hours after the four and six-laning of the roads. The Union government has decided to financially support all the infrastructure projects across the state. In last five years, Goa government has constructed several bridges and created huge infrastructure across the state.
