MoRTH speeds up NH-39 project

MoRTH NH 39 Project
In order to make the most out of the available rich natural resources including suitable agro-climatic condition and huge potential in the field mineral industry, the transport ministry has recently fast tracked the construction work of the national highway 39. The move among other things will facilitate the evacuation of these products to the rest part of the county and this is also first and foremost requirement towards growth and development. It may be recalled that after thirteen years since the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited Nagaland in 2003 and announced this four lanes of national highway project, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, said adding that the construction work on the mega highway project is currently in full swing starting from Patkai Bridge and Chumukedima in Nagaland. The four lane road project has been kick started by clearing off the forest area along the route on highway covering 42.48 kms length between Dimapur and Kohima.
