MK Stalin Lays Foundation New Projects in Coimbatore

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin laid the foundation stone for a new library and science centre in Anuparpalayam, a project named after social reformer Periyar. The ₹300-crore facility, covering 1.98 lakh sq ft across eight floors, will feature a library, science and incubation centres, a digital library, kids' library, planetarium, space lift, convention centre, terrace garden, and a competitive exams preparation centre. Set to open in January 2026, the centre aims to enhance educational resources in the region.
Further development projects include ₹7 crore allocated for fencing along 10 km in Thondamuthur and a ₹26 crore drinking water project for Kottur, Vettaikaranputhur, Udayakulam, and Anaimalai panchayats. Additionally, a ₹52 crore expansion will extend the water supply to 295 villages in Pollachi and Kinathukadavu, improving access to essential services across Tamil Nadu.
