Ministry of Rural Development Announces Infrastructure Boost for Northeast

The Ministry of Rural Development has approved significant investments to enhance rural connectivity in the North-East under PMGSY-III.

For Meghalaya, 88 roads spanning 782.155 km and 55 bridges have been sanctioned, with an investment of ₹1,056.82 crore. Earlier, 55 roads covering 443.26 km were approved, with a ₹412.34 crore investment.

In Nagaland, a road length of 55.89 km has been approved, with an investment of ₹54.75 crore. Additionally, 40 roads covering 506.69 km had previously been sanctioned with an investment of ₹489.70 crore. These initiatives aim to boost regional connectivity and foster economic growth in the North-Eastern states.
