KMC secures Rs. 1,274-cr NH project in HP

Chandigarh Manali National Highway Project
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has recently awarded the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway Project to KMC Construction at an investment of Rs. 1,274cr. In this connection, the company has been handed over the letter of award (LoA) for development of national highways in Himachal Pradesh under Phase IV-B of National Highways Development Projects entailing four-laning of 26 km stretch between Nagchala to Pandoh in Mandi District, said NHAI sources, adding that the development of crucial Nerchowk to Pandoh stretch including Pandoh bypass section of NH-21 will improve the transport facilities and also provide quicker evacuation of horticulture produce to the nearby markets. The project will have two bypasses (about 8 km long Mandi bypass and about 5 km long Pandoh bypass), three twin tube 2-lane tunnels, 6 major bridges, 11 minor bridges, and 3 vehicular under passes. The project would be executed on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode and scheduled time of completion of the project is 30 months from the date of commencement, they claimed.
