For the first time in India, 5 Dimension Building Information Modeling (5D BIM) technology is being used in Nagpur metro project and the new tech injects a new momentum to project and development of the city. Out of the Rs. 8,680-cr (estimated project cost till date), NMRCL had invested Rs. 700cr. However, Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRCL) which has been entrusted upon the responsibility to run metro-rail, is working 24x7 to see the light at the end of the tunnel and is extremely confident to meet the deadline, said Managing Director of Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRCL), Hitavada, Brijesh Dixit, Aurionpro Solutions Limited, a Mumbai-based company having global presence, has bagged over Rs. 100-cr contract to provide the technology. It is for the first time in Central India, that any company had been awarded such type of software project contract.
