Joby Aviation Begins Construction of Dubai Air Taxi Vertiport

Dubai Air Taxi Vertiport

Joby Aviation has commenced construction of its first vertiport at Dubai International Airport (DXB) as part of its electric air taxi network in Dubai. The project is being developed in partnership with Dubai Roads and Transport Authority and Skyports.

The DXB vertiport is one of four planned locations, with additional sites in Palm Jumeirah, Downtown Dubai, and Dubai Marina. Operations are expected to begin by late 2025.

The three-story, 3,100-square-meter facility will integrate seamlessly with Dubai's multimodal transport network, including the Metro's Emirates Station 2 and DXB Airport. Designed for efficiency and passenger convenience, the vertiport will feature two take-off and landing stands equipped with Joby's Global Electric Aviation Charging System (GEACS) for rapid vehicle charging.
