PM launches Rs 4,400-cr infra projects in Gujarat
The Prime Minister has inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various projects in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, worth a total of Rs 4,400 crore. The projects span across different departments, including urban development, water supply, road and transport, and mines and minerals, as per an official statement from the PMO. Some of the initiatives include bulk pipeline projects in Junagadh district, water supply scheme augmentation in Gandhinagar district, construction of flyover bridges, new water distribution stations, and multiple town planning roads. The PM also inaugurated the augmentation of multi-village drinking water supply schemes in Banaskantha district, a river overbridge in Ahmedabad, a drainage collection network at Naroda GIDC, sewage treatment plants in Mehsana and Ahmedabad, and an auditorium in Dahegam, among others. Additionally, he participated in the Gruh Pravesh ceremony of about 19,000 houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme, built at a cost of Rs 1,950 crore, and handed over keys to the beneficiaries during the program.
