Amit Shah Inaugurates, Lays Foundation for Rs 12,208 Crore Development Projects in Rajasthan

In Alwar, Shah launched projects aimed at strengthening rural infrastructure, dairy development and the cooperative sector. He performed the bhoomi pujan for a 3 lakh-litre-per-day milk processing plant, which will later be expanded to 5 lakh litres per day. He also inaugurated four Saras Dairy plants in Bhilwara, Jaipur, Pali and Rajsamand, launched four district cooperative banks and announced that farmers would receive zero-interest loans through these institutions.
The Union Home Minister said 954 development works worth Rs 6,453 crore were launched in Alwar. He added that 50 new warehouses would be built during 2026-27, while 162 warehouses with capacities of 100 MT and 500 MT have already been completed to strengthen the cooperative network in the state.
Highlighting government support for farmers, Shah said Rs 667 crore was transferred to 67 lakh farmers under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, while Rs 152 crore was disbursed through direct benefit transfer under the Chief Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme.
In Chittorgarh, Shah unveiled a 21-foot statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary and inaugurated or laid the foundation stone for 944 development projects worth Rs 5,755 crore across 15 districts.
During his address, Shah highlighted the Centre's initiatives in agriculture, tribal welfare and rural development, and said Rajasthan's infrastructure and cooperative sectors are being strengthened to improve rural livelihoods and support economic growth. He also said the state currently has 44,000 cooperative societies, with the goal of ensuring that every village has a cooperative institution.
