Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reviewed projects and schemes worth nearly Rs 60,000 crore during the eighth meeting of the Raj Unnati initiative, directing district administrations to strengthen monitoring of civic services and accelerate infrastructure development across the state.

The Chief Minister said the government's priority is to ensure balanced development in rural and urban areas by improving sanitation, drinking water supply, roads, street lighting and waste management. He instructed district collectors to regularly monitor these services, promptly address public grievances and take strict action against negligent officials and contractors while ensuring better inter-departmental coordination.

Reviewing monsoon preparedness, Sharma directed officials to expedite repairs of waterlogged areas, damaged roads, drains and culverts, and restore disrupted power supply. He said funds have already been allocated for civic works, including Rs 10 crore for each municipal corporation, Rs 3 crore for each municipal council and Rs 1 crore for each municipality.

The Chief Minister also directed authorities to improve lighting at major roads, intersections, markets and public spaces by repairing non-functional streetlights. Reviewing the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, he said nearly three lakh rooftop solar systems have been installed and asked officials to achieve the remaining targets by March 2027, while ensuring easier access to bank loans under the scheme.

Sharma instructed officials to expedite land acquisition for the Ringas-Sikar rail line doubling project and reviewed progress at 60 railway stations being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

He also reviewed the proposed ESI Medical College in Jaipur and directed officials to identify suitable land and begin construction at the earliest. In addition, he asked authorities to fast-track the four-laning of the highway between the Pachpadra Bypass and Patau Interchange on NH-25 to support growing traffic linked to the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery.

The Chief Minister reviewed plans to deploy 4,000 waste collection hoppers under the GCC model across urban local bodies and directed officials to complete the tendering process. He also reviewed the Agri Stack project, instructing departments to complete farmer registration, integrate land mutation records and finish geo-referencing in the remaining villages.

Reviewing projects under the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Health Infrastructure Mission, Sharma directed departments to complete pending works in mission mode, ensure timely land allocation and improve the utilisation of medical equipment.

He also reviewed complaints received through the Rajasthan Sampark Portal and other grievance platforms, directing departments to dispose of pending cases promptly. Sharma ordered an inquiry into the loss of a residential lease file in the Karauli Municipal Council, after which the applicant, who had applied in 2022, was issued the lease.

The Chief Minister further directed officials to resolve civic complaints related to potholes, manholes and streetlights, while ensuring biometric attendance of employees and GPS-based tracking of vehicles operating faecal sludge treatment plants.
