MKVDC floats tender for Rs 386.83-cr water infra project

The Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation (MKVDC)
The Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation (MKVDC) has issued a tender for the construction of water infrastructure, including a pump house, rising main, and allied works for the Wakurde lift irrigation scheme Part-II (Stage-I) in Shirala and Walwa taluka, Sangli, Maharashtra. The project requires an investment of Rs 386.83 crore.

The scope of work encompasses the construction of a pump house, rising main, delivery chamber, and approach roads to the delivery chamber. It also includes the Ladewadi-Dhagewadi-Itkare gravity main, Ladewadi-Dhagewadi-Itkare express main, Yedefata-Pokharni, Ladewadi-Shirala closed pipes, and their distribution network.

Furthermore, the project involves the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the piped distribution network (PDN) system for a period of five years after the completion of the work, followed by its handover to the Water Users' Associations (WUA).
