
The infrastructure development within the proposed clusters will primarily focus on the construction of roads, water supply systems, and electricity distribution networks. The internal infrastructure of the Srikalahasti Chittoor node, for instance, will involve the development of the start-up area within the 938-hectare Chittoor-South industrial cluster. Additionally, it will include improvements to a 9.5-kilometer access road to the Chittoor-South industrial cluster and an 8.7-kilometer access road to the Naidupeta industrial cluster.
According to the Union Ministry of Finance, the program emphasizes long-term sustainability by formulating plans to enhance the operation and maintenance of start-up industrial clusters. Moreover, it aims to introduce a toolkit that provides gender-responsive and socially inclusive guidance. This toolkit will facilitate the integration of industrial and urban planning, including industry housing in areas adjacent to the industrial clusters.
The signed loan agreement between the ADB and the Indian government signifies their joint commitment to promoting the development of robust industrial infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
