GRT fixes Rs. 1,500-cr for realty projects

In view of the huge future business opportunities in the country's real estate sector, the Global Road Technology (GRT) has set aside Rs. 1500-cr for building realty projects in the next three years. On this score, it is eyeing large projects in India in collaboration with reputed developers to invest the targeted funds, Chief Executive Officer, India, Ben WH James said in a media statement, adding that the company is predominantly subcontracting for the big players. GRT works in the field of soil stabilization and innovative dust control products that help create safer roads and workplaces and is currently present in many countries. It is working on three sets on busy National Highway-2 which sees high volumes of traffic from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to Aurangabad in Bihar. It has partnered with Soma Isolux for the project. GRT is in talks with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and with big road developers including Larsen & Toubro, ILFS Engineering and IRB Infra for highway contracts, he said.
