DRA Infracon Wins ₹4,900 Cr Assam Highway Project

Ahmedabad-based Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon Pvt Ltd (DRA Infracon) has secured the contract to develop a 121 km highway project in Assam under the Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) - Toll model, offering to build it without any grant from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The ₹4,900 crore Guwahati Ring Road project had other bidders, including a joint venture of Adani Group and Ashoka Buildcon, which sought a ₹135 crore grant, and state-owned Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd, which requested ₹370 crore. This is the first highway project in the Northeast under the BOT-Toll model.
